Scarce thus. Sigrid Undset (1882-1949) is a celebrated female Norwegian novelist; she received the 1928 Nobel Prize in Literature. Small personal owner signature to title page verso, tiny "No. 40" stamped to front free endpaper lower outer corner; else a very fine, immaculate copy with very faintest of edge-wear. Appears nearly As New. First edition (presumed; no earlier dates stated and no indication of edition or printing quatity on title page or copyright page).
