The second half is filled with recipes which cover yeast cookery of all kinds, and the many old fashioned spiced breads, buns, pancakes and muffins amongst others are all described with the author's typical elegance and unrivalled knowledge. The book is illustrated throughout with drawings by Wendy Jones. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There are a few marks to the top edge. The unclipped dust jacket is in very good condition with shelf wear to the top edge of the spine, nibbling to the bottom edge of the spine and some sunning to the spine.
