[40] pp.; 21.5 x 14 cm.; staple bound; black-and-white; edition size unknown; unsigned and unnumbered; offset-printed Second volume from a series of artist's book by Margia Kramer reproducing F.B.I. documents on the actor Jean Seberg acquired through a Freedom of Information Act request. "In response to my petition, the F.B.I. sent me its file on this American actress who lived in France and killed herself there, in September, 1979. The documents in the file, declassified under the Freedom of Information Act, demonstrate that she was a victim of F.B.I. surveillance and domestic counter-intelligence activities from 1969 to the 1970's. It is speculated that this contributed to her distress, emotional breakdown, and suicide. "The documents in this book are selected from the declassified F.B.I. file on Jean Seberg, which I received in December, 1979, under a Freedom of Information Act request. Whereas 'Essential Documents.Part I' contained pages from the file which demonstrate general F.B.l. harassment and surveillance of the actress, especially with regard to her pregnancy in 1969-1970, Part contains a selection of pages where the Bureau links Jean Seberg with the Black Panther Party. This book is published in conjunction with exhibitions of Sections 3 and 4 of 'Secret,' from my 'Freedom of Information Act Work,' in the windows of Printed Matter and Franklin Furnace, in May, 1980." -- from book's foreword.
