Light Blue buckram cloth boards with red titles on a black floral design to the front board. Gilt lettering on spines. 11" Tall. Some fading and tanning to spines. Division I 8 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 176pp, with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Division II 8 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 177pp -352pp, with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Division III - 7 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 176pp, with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Division IV - 7 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 177pp-352pp with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Division V - 8 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 176pp with four pages of advertisements at the rear. Division VI - 8 tissue guarded plates on thick card to the front of the volume. 177pp-370pp followed by 30 pages of title, contents, preface and other pages designed for what is a 3 volume work. Approximately 11 ¼ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, nice and bright, slightly faded to division IV, spine top and tail bruised and folded, minor marks and scratches. Joints good condition gently rubbed and worn, Division III with ½ inch ding to the lower portion of the front joint. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition all boards bright and clean with red titles to a black floral background, white circular mark to the front board of Division V and a white damp stain to the rear board of Division V. Some marks to the front board of Division VI, other boards with minor marks and scratches. Page edges good condition top edge slightly darkened, all edges gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition all sound. Paste downs good condition floral decorated pattern paper. End papers good condition floral decorated pattern paper. Title good condition red and black text, gently tanned. Pages good condition 46 tissue guarded plates on thick card, some lacking tissue guards, minor foxing to the margins and tissue guards pages clean and bright with minor foxing and marks in places.
