Dustwrapper, 4to, pp.128. 250 colour illustrations, mainly full page reproductions ( some 2 to a page ) of fifties film posters taken from the Reel Poster Gallery collection in London owned by Tony Nourmand. Dustwrapper bright and clean but has creasing and light wear to edges in places, especially cover lower corner where the binding has taken a bit of a bump. Creasing to corner cloth under wrapper due to bump else binding and contents clean and sound. Overall a VG copy in dustwrapper. Heavy book weighing c 1400g when packed, and thus extra postage ( at cost ) will be requested to cover shortfall from default postage quotation for 1000g for both first class UK mail ( second class not affected ) and all overseas orders. Quote can be given if requested.

Ealing Comedy. Films from Italy and France, where the 'New Wave' was starting to break, were still considered strictly high culture, if not threateningly risque, in the Anglophone nations.
