First edition of the teachings of Edward Arthur Wilson, the controversial mystic also known as Brother XII. This work is scarce outside of North America, with FirstSearch identifying it only in institutions within Canada and the United States. Wilson (1878-1934), published this work in the hopes of collecting donations for establishing a spiritual community on Vancouver Island. In 1933, when members of his community filed legal actions against him, he fled to Europe, where it is alleged that he faked his death. Octavo. Original blue vertically ribbed cloth, front cover lettered in gilt. Spine ends and tips bumped and lightly rubbed. A very good copy. N° de réf. du vendeur 193275
