A propos de cet article
8vo. An original 1759 French and Indian War Newspaper with a Full-Page Map of the Lake George, New York Region, including Crown Point, and Forts Ticonderoga, Edward, and William Henry. Accompanying the map is a long and detailed report recounting the expedition of famed American guerilla warrior Robert Rogers from Fort Edward to Fort Ticonderoga, where his force engaged a small detachment of French and Indians and emerged victorious. This May, 1759 issue of the Gentleman's Magazine shows the entire region between Lake Champlain and Crown Point in the North to the Hudson River and Fort Edward in the South. The map measures 8 14" X 5" and is perfect for framing and display! This issue is in Very Good condition, and is lacking one plate, though not relevant to the French and Indian War news. Disbound. #1N-047.
