Bright and clear gilt at spine. A most important study of German defensive battle tactics vs the British and French methods of attack during World War 1. The research is partly based on German sources which refute those of the British Official History. **The book has tanning and foxing, several stains and the name of the previous owner on the frontispiece and the previous owner has created a spreadsheet, in pencil, at the pack of page 343. The cover has shelf rubbing.**.
