The first edition, in German, of this much loved classic. Book dated September1951 and wrapper dated November 1951. A very good copy in red boards with illustration tipped on to top board and with a very good+ dustwrapper. Minor red stains to rear of dustwrapper and top of rear endpapers from boards. Closed tear 1" to top rear hinge of dustwrapper. Original, printed, price of 3/6 obscured by a new price sticker for 5/-.
