First Edition, 1814. Volume 1 only. Full leather with rubbed corners and edges. Front hinge is started but otherwise has a good binding. Few pages at the beginning and end have moisture marks. Pencil and pen scribble on the endpapers and title page- rear pastedown pencil writing seems to recount a family member being possibly involved in the battle of Chancellorsville (Civil War).
