A propos de cet article

Book Condition — Fine: Spots of foxing and light rubbing along the top/bottom edges of the hardcover panels, but otherwise in wonderful condition, artwork bright, vibrant and popping with colour, gilt title lettering on cover and spine crisp and clean. Now protected by a plastic slipcover (missing piece at rear). Pristine text block with crisp page edges. Pages throughout are tightly bound, clean and tidy. Unread. All plates and illustrations remain pristine. A first edition hardback from Frederick Warne & Co, featuring eight colour plates and additional black-and-white illustrations, highly collectible for fans of Beatrix Potter scholarship and early publishing history of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Leslie Linder’s book provides a detailed and affectionate account of the origins and development of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, tracing its creation, publication, and cultural impact. Illustrated throughout with both colour plates and black-and-white drawings, the volume offers visual context alongside informative text, making it valuable for collectors, researchers, and admirers of Potter’s work. Combining historical insight with charming illustration, it serves as an engaging companion to one of children’s literature’s most enduring classics.…
