1928. First edition. 272pp. Henry Wilson Harris (1883-1955) was editor of The Spectator from 1932 to 1953, and independent MP for Cambridge University from 1945 to 1950. The Report on the Traffic in Women and Children was published by the United Nations in two parts in March, 1927, and December, 1927, respectively. This volume aims at associating the main features of the investigator's reports, a brief study of the prostitution for which the traffic exists and a fuller discussion of methods of attack on both. Section II consists of digests of the 28 investigations recorded in Part II of the League Report. Sections I and III deal respectively with the conditions precedent to the investigation and with possible roads to reform. The book is bound in the original red-brown cloth covered boards with black titling on the spine. The case of the book is in good to very good condition with shelf wear and some soiling and staining to the boards. There is some fading from a water stain around the bottom corner of the front board and bottom edge of the rear board. The spine is slightly cocked and the spine ends are lightly bumped.
