Complete three volume set. Scarce first printing. Half calf leather bindings with green cloth boards. Spines with five raised bands, leather title and volume labels, gilt decorated compartments. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Rubbing to spines, Volume I has a small nick to head of spine. Rubbing and marking to boards, wear to corners of boards. Good solid bindings with no cracking to joints. Volume I has a bump to lower corner of the page block resulting in slight creasing to lower corner of last 100 pages. Foxing to blanks and to frontis in Volume I, text is very clean throughout. Numerous illustrations within the text. Overall condition is Very Good. Please Note: This is a very heavy item.
