CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Nice copy of a Mountain Man classic written by one of the pioneers in the study of those trappers who explored and opened the West. None were more important than Jim Bridger. This is a fine edition with the inclusion of the biographical sketch of James Bridger by Maj.Gen. Grenville Dodge. Bridger himself left no writings, and this work is based the recollections of those who knew him during his long years in the Rockies.
