Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. A first edition (novel published later in the same year in the US under the title The Secret of the Lake House) mystery story featuring the author's recurrent character, Dr Priestley. John Rhode was a pen name for Cecil John Street, who also wrote as Miles Burton and Cecil Waye.
