RARE Stapled soft cover. The front cover has pulled back, exposing the staples. The pages, including the 139 numbered pages, are tightly bound with three non-rusted staples. Except for the front cover and title page, inside and back cover are like new with age toning expected for a book published in 1932. The front cover features the NM Bureau of Mines logo, the stamp of The Atlantic Refining Company, a sticker with the title in the upper corner near the spine, and "Houston" in ink. The back of the front cover has a large area where a library pocket may have been removed. The title page has some soil, has two more Atlantic Refining stamps, and the number 00023975 is written and in a bar code. Its lower tip is bumped. INCLUDED will be a very good copy of the 1976 reprint of this rare find. Contents include: History of Mining in Socorro County, Mining Districts, including Magdalena, which includes Jack Frost and Night Hawk Group of Claims. Twenty-one illustrations, including an Index map showing the location of the principal prospects in the area surrounding the Magdalena Special Quadrangle, a Claim map of the Copper Belt Silver and Copper Mining Co.
