A nice first edition of this popular textbook in optometry, which went through at least five editions in the 1890s. The book is illustrated with 89 figures, including a couple of full-page plates showing the geometry of vision in three colors. A Snellen chart, split over two pages, make up the last two pages before the index. xii, 241 pages plus five full-page plates not included in the pagination. First edition (first printing with no indication of later editions). A very good copy in the publisher's original cloth. With the ownership signature of F. A.
