Previously published in the UK by the Hogarth Press under the title The Question of Things Happening. Fine in a NearFine Dust Jacket. The Text Block is clean, white, tight, straight and square with no markings of any kind. The Binding is purple quarter cloth to cream colored boards, colors uniform throughout, with bright gilt title, etc., to the spine, unmarked green endpapers, and all corners square and sharp. The Dust Jacket is bright, spine tanned, otherwise colors uniform throughout, and intact with several small tears discreetly closed from behind with archival (pH neutral) materials, and the original price ($14.95) intact on the front flap. See photos. xxiv, [iii], 627 pages, plus eight (8) unnumbered pages of glossy photographs. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2". This decade of letters corresponds to the founding of the Hogarth Press by the Woolfs, World War One, Virginia's first period of creative writing, and the expansion of the Bloomsbury Group. Letters here include many to her sister Vanessa, and to Clive Bell, Lytton Strachey, John Maynard Keynes, Roger Fry, Katherine Mansfield and T. S. Eliot.
