In half leather binding, full blue calf with gilt titles to red labels, gilt decoration to the spine compartments, marbled page edges and tanned end papers. Four volumes bound in two tomes, with 26 plates at the rear of Vol I-2 and 37 plates at the rear of Vol 3-4. Damp stained to the plates, rubbed and worn to the bindings. The title page of Vol 1-2 states (Temporary Title A Beautifully Steel Vignette Walmer Castle is in the Hands of the Engraver) . Pagination: Vol I xxiv, 344pp; Vol II 408pp; Vol III 376pp; Vol IV 288pp. With a frontispiece to Vol I, II and III and plates bound in at the rear. No maps. Provenance: no inscriptions or bookplates. Approximately 11 inches tall (28cm). Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles to red label, gilt decoration to the compartments, rubbed, faded and worn. Joints good condition worn. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition blue calf and cloth boards, rubbed and worn.
