Two back-to-back biographies by two 16th-century contemporaries: the slim account by More's son-in-law Roper (not published until 1626, around 70 years after its composition) and the far larger account by Harpsfield (not published until 1932, almost four hundred years after its composition). Uncommonly lovely copy.
