His publishers, his several bankers, his executors and the Italian secretary Lega Zambelli, whom he employed for the last five years of his life, all transmitted to their descendants quantities of documents relating to his financial affairs p bills, receipts, memoranda. Gathered together, these form an hitherto unpublished archive which sheds so intimate a light on the poet's habits from adolescence until death, that it is probably without parallel in yhe annals of famous men.
