First American Edition ( 'First published in the United States of America in 1968 by the Lion Press.'). The book was originally published in Sweden. The American edition is quite rare, I saw only one other copy for sale on the Internet. 20 pages plus the front and rear inside covers, the story beginning on the front inside cover and ending on the rear inside cover. Charming, fanciful color illustrations on every page. Rhyming text. You can see the covers in the photos. They are quite clean. There is wear at both spine ends, a few tears and rubbing. There's also some scuffing on the front side of the spine. There is rub-through at all four corners. There is superficial rubbing on parts of the edges. The book is solidly bound cover to cover. There are no binding issues. The pages are, overall, very clean. There are a few small tan spots off the bottom edge of one page and one light spot off the bottom corner of another. There is only one crease, a tiny one, at the top corner of the last page. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. 'Sebastian Lybeck was born in Finland in 1929 and grew up there. He invented the character of Latte Hedgehog while working on a summer feature for Hufvudstadsbladet , the largest Swedish-language daily newspaper in Finland. The book Latte Igelkott och Vattenstenen became an international success; translated into numerous languages, awarded the German Youth Literature Prize. A second volume followed in 1969, and 40 years he wrote Latte Igel and the Black Shadow. Sebastian Lybeck was a grandson of the writer Mikael Lybeck .'. N° de réf. du vendeur 004594
