A propos de cet article

[SCIENCE]. Eds. Bryce S. DeWitt, Neill Graham. Contributors: Hugh Everett, Leon N. Cooper, Deborah van Vechten, et al. "The Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics: A Fundamental Exposition (Princeton Series in Physics)." Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press. Printed in the USA by Princeton University Press, 1973. First edition. English language. Softcover with card wrappers. Nonfiction physics text with major paper in six parts with two appendices, references, and preface, accompanied by six related academic articles, with mathematical formulae. 8vo. 9 1/4 x 6 inches. 14 oz. viii, 254 pp. Shelf-wear. Creasing to wrappers. Price sticker on back wrapper. Toning to wrappers. Text clean. Good Plus. ISBN: 069188131x. "In his interpretation, Everett denies the existence of a separate classical realm and asserts the propriety of considering a state vector for the whole universe. Because this state vector never collapses, reality as a whole is rigorously deterministic. This reality, which is described jointly by the dynamical variables and the state vector, isn?t the reality customarily perceived; rather, it?s a reality composed of many worlds. By virtue of the temporal development of the dynamical variables, the state vector decomposes naturally into orthogonal vectors, reflecting a continual splitting of the universe into a multitude of mutually unobservable but equally real worlds, in each of which every good measurement has yielded a definite result, and in most of which the familiar statistical quantum laws hold.".…

Description de la boutique

I sell uncommon art catalogs, academic monographs, and prints, as well as rare ephemera such as posters and zines. I ship from Brooklyn, New York. I am an alum of the Rare Book School and the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar, as well as Indiana University and the Ohio State University. I started in the trade at the Wexner Center for the Arts bookstore, and I have previously worked for the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago's Department of Prints and Drawings, and the Indiana University Art Museum's center for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs. More recently, I was the rare book cataloger at Donald Heald Rare Books, for whom I worked the ABAA's New York International Antiquarian Book Fair.…
