Inscribed by Ray Bradbury on the upper free endpaper: "Pat! - Ray Bradbury - 3/22/85" (Patrick Magee, a sci-fi fan and a friend of Bradbury). A Very Good copy in like dust jacket. Publisher's green cloth boards, quite faded, especially at spine. Very clean throughout aside from some toning to endpapers and a patch of foxing to fore-edge. Priceclipped dust jacket with spine somewhat toned and a spot of staining to back flap (seemingly from removed tape or price sticker), affecting a few letters. Following a race of humans who have settled on Mars in the year 1999, The Martian Chronicles details the interactions between the pioneer Earthlings and the resident Martians. Nearly wiped out by a plague that is brought from Earth, the Martians struggle to survive while individuals from both sides attempt to reconcile their new existence together. Fueled by the success of The Martian Chronicles, Bradbury composed his masterpiece, Fahrenheit 451, launching him to international fame. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket.
