Edition from 1930 nicely bound in 3/4 red leather with the Rockwell Kent engravings. This copy with a bookplate and gift inscription from Ruth Euhling to her noted husband physicist Edwin Euhling. The inscription is dated 1930. Euhling worked briefly with both Werner Heisenberg and later with Oppenheimer. First printing of this edition. An attractive copy once belonging to Edwin Euhling who was long time head of the physics department at the University of Washington. Nuclear physics and Whaling, can it get any better.
