A propos de cet article

118pp. Octavo [22 cm] Light gray cloth over boards, with gentle bumping to the spine ends. In a dust jacket, with rubbing to the front panel, and some soiling and toning to the rear panel. There is a 1" closed tear along the rear flap. Inner-world fiction, and an anti-Mormon novel. From the dust jacket- "While on an investigation of the mouth of Mt. Rishiri in Japan, Dr. Robinette becomes trapped inside the volcano. He begins a journey through the subterranean caverns, encountering many unusual phenomena. The crossing of the inner sea, the change in Dr. Robinette's body from a carbon base to a silicon base, the battle with an amaranth, the exploration of the temples of the inner world and the struggle between the gigantic hydra and the lamia are among the fantastic occurrences which take place during the trek of the doctor and his companions, Dr. Tamuri, Hoshi, Kenji, and Saburo. "The introduction of the spirit creature Moroni and the beginnings of his message to the travelers introduce us to a new aspect of the inner world. Satan and his demons become real forces in the story as the travelers discover the Devil's Bible and the first of the demonic temples. As Dr. Robinette and the rest penetrate deeper and deeper into the Hell Zone, they learn more and more of Moroni's Message and what consequences this knowledge will have for them. The surprise ending and the epilogue bring Moroni's Message to a logical, convincing conclusion.".…
