The first two VICAR Chronicles - a series of whodunits about the fictional (and not-so-fictional) adventures of the legendary music producer and great British eccentric, THE VICAR, as seen through the witty, irreverent eyes of his assistant PUNK SANDERSON. Wondrous tales of misdeeds in the music industry. The Vicar protects a famous singer from a campaign to sabotage her career, while fighting her crooked manager over unpaid royalties. And just why is he so worried about a photocopier?! Sherlock Holmes meets Spinal Tap - an average Rock n' Roll day. The characters of THE VICAR and PUNK - the well-centred and the malleable, the disciplined and the disordered, the lofty and the venal, the Volvo-driver and the Ferrari-dreamer - embody contradictions that lie at the heart of us all. The groundbreaking multimedia universe of The Vicar also includes Graphic Novels, Audiobooks, Videobooks and Music Albums by The legendary Vicar himself. Quotes about the Vicar include: BRIAN ENO - 'I would like to put on public record right now, once and for all: I AM NOT THE VICAR.' DAVID SYLVIAN - 'Throughout my life I've frequently found myself, metaphorically speaking, sat on the Vicar's knee.' NICK CAVE - 'The Vicar? Half Budhha, half backstreet ****' BILLY G - 'The Vicar saves musicians. Simple.' ANDY PARTRIDGE (XTC) - 'Since working with the Vicar I can NEVER..EVER feel the same way about Alpacas...' BILL RIEFLIN (REM) - 'THE VICAR is a genius. He didn t pay me to play on his record, but he paid me to say that.' Surreal Tales from the underbelly of the music industry.

Punk Sanderson (who, by his own admission, has deliberately changed his name to avoid libel suits), is the witty, irreverent assistant of the legendary music producer and great British eccentric, The Vicar, and the chronicler of THE VICAR's world - a function he performs with an engaging combination of inspiration and ineptitude. A ground-breaking multimedia artist, Punk's stories of The Vicar are available as novels, graphic novels, audiobooks and his own hilarious videoblogs. Punk wishes he was Keith Richards but despite himself is rather more Bart Simpson. A drummer and wannabe rock-star, he is keen to succeed - but not if it means getting up early in the morning. '... I have no luck with women... I could fall into a bag of nipples and come out sucking my own thumb.' His blogs have been read and watched by tens of thousands of 'Punksters' - and he now moves, with some trepidation, into the world of 'literature'.
