Scribner's Special Student's Edition (as stated at top of dj's front flap). 127 pages. Hardcover: H 18.25cm x L 12.75cm. Blue dust jacket with uncredited front panel illustration of foreground leaping marlin against background of crouching fisherman in simple wood boat; light toning; 4.5cm closed tear at rear panel's top right with some associated creasing; some nicks and bumping at edges too; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Blue cloth spine with gilt stamping still fairly bright; light blue boards; front board's gilt stamping remains bright. Copyright page features Scribner's code "A-9.60" so presumably a first printing of this edition issued in September 1960. Ink ownership inscription at top of front free endpaper; interior leaves are otherwise bright and clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket.
