Small, August 18'. A lovely copy. a.e.g. ESTC T85601. With 16pp subscribers' list, but bound without 4pp ads. Odes to Anacreon was Moore's first published work, appearing a year after he moved to London; he had moved to study law at Middle Temple, but quickly gave it up in favour of writing. Moore was delighted when he received permission to dedicate this work to the Prince of Wales, whom he would later meet on several occasions as a member of London society.
