1967, The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, Two A4 portrait format hardbacks with dustjackets. See scan of jacket blurb for additional information. Part 1. First 35 pages include a list of the plates, illustrations, list and register of monuments. This is followed by an inventory of 189pp listing by type or era. 214 illustrations within the text plus 10 glossy plates at the back with a further 22 illustrations, mainly black and white photographs. Part 2. First 18 pages include a list of the plates and illustrations. This is followed by the continuing inventory from Part 1 listing by type or era and extends to 197pp. 99 illustrations within the text plus 133 glossy plates at the back with between two to four black and white photographs per page. Part 2 also includes a comprehensive index. Both volumes have come from a private collection and are in excellent condition although Part 2 has tear repaired to the front cover top left hand corner. A very good set . UK carriage will be by Hermes and there will be no additional cost for UK customers., Book weighs 2908g.
