Item description from seller

Softcover Instructor's Review Copy. First Printing of thus in Good+ condition. The covers show some shelf wear and light curling to the corners. The binding is square and tight. An organization stamp is neatly marked out on the half-title page. The former owner's handstamp is neatly on the title page. The interior pages are clean, bright as new, and unmarked. The People: A History of Native America, Volume 1: To 1861, Instructor's Review Copy by R. David Edmunds, Frederick E. Hoxie, and Neal Salisbury presents an ethnographic approach to American Indian history from the arrival of humans on the American continent to 1861. The text provides balanced coverage of political, economic, cultural, and social aspects of Indian history. While exploring the effects of European invasion on American Indian communities, it also emphasizes the impact of Native actions on the American environment. The authors' Indian-centered perspective treats Native peoples as active participants in shaping history. As a result, certain events take on greater significance than in a general survey, while others, such as Reconstruction, receive minimal coverage. The book highlights the role of American Indians in shaping national life and their ongoing contributions to modern democratic society. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment for protection from the elements using cardboard and bubble wrap. A USPS electronic tracking number will be issued free of charge. Feel free to contact us for more information or pictures regarding the book.

Description de la boutique

Alien Bindings is an online bookshop located in Baltimore that has been in operation for nearly 20 years. Alien Bindings caters to the sciences including the physical sciences, astronomy, mathematics, computer science, the social sciences and medicine. I also dabble in a wide array of other categories including antiquarian books and history. I run a clean, green business. I try to reuse clean materials for packaging whenever possible. For example, books are carefully packaged frequently using clean cardboard for custom made boxes, recycled paper is used for printed labels and recycled plastic or bubble wrap is used for a weather-proof barrier. I drop the packages off to my local post office via foot or cycle in order to further reduce the carbon footprint.
