Etat : Fair/Good. Hardcover without dust jacket. Brown paper covers with brown cloth spine. Cover with picture of the Spirit of '76. Wear to corners, bumpings noted to edges and wear to head and tail of spine. Some rubbing and scratchings noted to covers. Spine is tight. Pages are yellowing with age but clean and very readable. The author has selected 40 famous painting and has interpretated his opinion of each painting. The purpose of this book is to teach children and adults the importance of being able to read a picture. From the introduction by Nathaniel Butler "Such experiences as this book will afford should bring the child into fuller possession of his own world of emotion and imagination.".
