Blue/beige cloth boards with white lettering to spine. Boards have a few marks commensurate with age. Slight bumping to corners. Spine is faded with a little bumping to ends. Some fox to the endpapers and throughout the text (war standard paper). Not affecting the portraits which are on different paper. Several pages are creased, but not badly so. The odd pencil annotation to the text. Pagination: 32 pp + 64 pp of portraits. Additional photos are available upon request. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 561g. Previous owner signature 'Bill Cressy-Marcks, Ceylon 29/7/43' (Born 1922 Myanmar, died 29 Mar 1956. Flight Lieutenant, RAF Volunteer Reserve 356 Squadron). Bookseller stamp to FFEP. Ink annotations to List of Portraits indicating killed, prisoners of war, missing, or off flying due to injuries. Pencil annotations to portrait margins with rank, decorations, occasional 'shot down' and if 'bought it' or 'missing'. Fascinating historical document. Blue and beige cloth boards with white lettering to spine. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped. Top right corner of rear board is bent. Slight wear to board edges. Spine has mild bumping to top and bottom. Endpages are a little grubby. Front inner hinge is starting to crack. Rear inner hinge is starting to crack. Textblock is just starting to give. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean. 96 pp. 64 b/w illustrations. Beige paper dust jacket with yellow lettering to front. DJ is rather tatty, with quite a bit of loss. Spine area is missing. Rather grubby. Not priceclipped. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 613g.
