Overall, a clean and very attractively bound copy. The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott is a collection of Scott's poetry accompanied with nearly 100 pages of notes. Specifically, this volume contains "The Lay of the Last Minstrel," "Marmion," "The Lady of the Lake," "The Vision of Don Roderick," "Rokeby," "Lord of the Isles," and a collection of "Miscellaneous Poems." Scott achieved great success as a poet in the early 19th century with a handful of long, six-canto narrative poems before shifting his energy to novel writing. He is credited with pioneering the genre of historical fiction, and penned classic works like Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, and The Heart of the Mid-Lothian. N° de réf. du vendeur SWS110
