First edition hard back binding rebound within the last 50 years in half scarlet leather covers, gilt title lettering to the spine, rounded corners, red and black crocodile skin patterned paper covered boards, red and cream patterned end papers. 4to 12'' x 9½''. Contains [xviii] 96 printed pages of text with hand-coloured aquatint frontispiece bound in sequence between the plates and fifty uncoloured aquatint plates (as called for). Light rubbing to the covers, text block and plates in Very Good clean condition without any age toning or foxing to the paper. Member of the P.B.F.A. DRAWING & CRAFTSMANSHIP.
