William Jackson's very scarce dissertation on the subject of salvation won Mrs. Denyer's theological essay prize in 1846, when he was a student at Oxford University.With a 'synopsis' leaf at the start of the work, identifying the themes and topics covered in the essay. These include the manifestation of Christ, and the history of revelation, from the entirely oral to the entirely written.Jackson studied at Queen's College, Oxford, and was a curate at Elmore Green in Dorset. Disbound. Light handling mark to head of rear leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd spot. Very Good.
