A propos de cet article

Bound in sturdy but worn pictorial boards with wear to the corners and along the spine. With edge wear along the boards. With wear to the top and bottom of the spine ends. Clean and tight throughout with a few pages with marginal foxing. All 12 illustrations present. The story was originally released as a serial in The Captain magazine, between October 1908 and March 1909, under the title The New Fold. It continues the adventures of cricket-loving Mike Jackson and his immaculately-dressed friend Psmith A very bright copy of this transitional and partly autobiographical novel, in which the heroes of the Public School tale 'Mike' find themselves caught up in the drudgery of the Edwardian banking system (although they do find time for cricket). Wodehouse was unhappily employed at the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank before finding success as a writer. (Treloar).
