Yellow w/red lettering. Shelfwear head and heel of spine, corners bumped and rubbed, dampstain on edges of covers, lower 1/4 of rear cover, does not affect text. Inside front cover and front endpaper stamped for lending library, top edge has two small stamps, faint spot on title page, lower margin, a few spots on outside edge, tips margin here and there. Unclipped DJ has been trimmed top and bottom to fit mylar cover, strip of clear tape, small scar, thin label on front cover, small label on spine, light soiling, mainly on rear cover. "Defeated Singapore, teeming with peoples of all races, tense with conflicts between Japanese conquerors and humiliated former rulers, is the scene of this dramatic story in which the tragedy of people of "mixed blood" is played against the roaring orchestration of war."
