The Return of the King 1st US Edition 11th Printing in Fair condition with moderate water damage to the boards and DJ, however the contents are unaffected and quite clean. The non-price clipped DJ is in Fair condition. Front cover has a closed split the length of the white circle, chips, stains and tears. The spine has stains, moderate spine end loss to the bottom, and heavy loss to the top. The rear flap has minor chipping and stains. The book itself is in Fair condition with moderate water stains to the spine and boards. The contents of the book are clean and bright. The rear map is missing. Slight bow, tight binding. Price clipped dust jackets are very faded to the spines, with a little wear to the head of the spines and a couple of tiny tears or light chipping to the top edge of The Return, also a minor tear to the edge of The Two Towers, otherwise clean and tidy. Black cloth covers with bright gilt lettering to the spines, the front of each volume has gilt and metallic red, orange and purple decoration to match each jacket, strongly coloured top edges also match the jackets, covers with a few very minor marks, generally sharp corners, the head of the spine of The Return is lightly bruised. Securely bound books, pages lightly age toned, otherwise smart, without inscriptions, each volume complete with fold out map.
