A propos de cet article

Probable First edition. The copyright page has only one date -1968 and no other print information. This book offered is the 'Unabridged version' of this classic title. All other subsequent publications of this title will be marked abridged and will have multiple copyright dates. This book is published by Random House Book. - Over sized book - approximately 10.25" W by 12" L. See pictures. Interior pages have no tears, folds or writing and are bright except for a few random small, soil marks along page edges or corners. Binding firm - all signatures are attached and no pages are missing. This is NOT an ex-lib copy or a remainder copy. Illustrated End papers are part of the story and are unmarred and colorful except for Front FEP which has faint foxing from a paper that had been left inside . Light browning to page edges. Book plate of previous child owner is pasted down on title page. Illustrated boards are printed on a textured cloth like paper and do NOT have the plastic coating over them found in later edtions. Covers are colorful but are soiled and rubbed along edges. Corners are bumped and show wear. Spine is well attached although rubbed. It is rare to find a 58+ year old children's book that is in very good condition and a First printing. Even more unique given that Richard Scarry's books have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. Richard Scarry authored over 300 books, selling more than 160 million copies worldwide, making him one of the most beloved children's authors. Scarry's stories often embraced diversity and showcased various cultures, teaching children the importance of understanding and accepting differences. His books are not only entertaining but also serve as tools for teaching basic life skills and economic principles. Scarry's detailed illustrations encourage curiosity and exploration, making reading a visually stimulating experience. Note: We make every effort to fairly describe the condition of the book and identify any flaws (writing, tears, creases, folds). We use the "Fine or Near Fine" book condition judiciously when grading of the book or dust jacket. We are a closed shop so our books have limited public handling and are well cared for. Please e-mail any questions.…
