Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám | Charles Robinson Illustrated Edition

Omar Khayyám (18 May 1048 - 4 December 1131) was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, and poet. [Rendered into English Verse by Edward FitzGerald (31 March 1809 - 14 June 1883)]. Introduction by Laurence Housman. Illustrated by Charles Robinson [Charles Robinson (1870-1937) was a prolific British book illustrator, he won a place at the Royal Academy in 1892 but was unable to take it up due to lack of finances].

Blue and orange printed and illustrated title, Rubáiyát over 56 pages carrying the 75 quatrains of Edward FitzGerald's version enriched with 4 full-page tipped-in colour plates and decorations by Charles Robinson, decorative orange border to every page. Slight sun fading down the spine and in Very Good clean and bright condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám.
