First edition thus Gilbert James Photogravure series hard back binding in publisher's original olive cloth covers, gilt title lettering to the spine, symmetrical Persian design and gilt vignette to the front cover, top edge gilt. 8vo. 8½'' x 6''. Rubáiyát over 160 pages carrying the 75 quatrains of Edward FitzGerald's version enriched with 12 full-page single-sided paper-guarded photogravures after Drawings by Gilbert James. Ink name inside dated 1905, boards with general soiling to the cloth, light age tanning to the end papers and in Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám.
