UNCOMMON FIRST EDITION - BEAUTIFUL COPY - [undated but circa 1909]: This book corresponds with the 1909 first edition described in the World catalogue, including the 32 pages of advertisements at the back, as specified. The upper cover features a brown colour illustration that is bright and clean. The book is tight and square, with the gilt work and colour illustration on the spine also in bright condition. A neat prize label on the front pastedown is dated 1913. Overall, it’s an attractive book, although there is some sporadic foxing. The book contains 330 pages and 6 unnumbered leaves of plates with illustrations.
