Item description from seller

Frontisportrait engraved by W. Humphreys xlv, (i), 118, (ii) pubs ads. Vignette engraving by (Mary?) Byfield. Half title present. Offsetting from portrait to title page & occasional spot of foxing as well as the partial erasure from the ffep of what appears to read "Please return to Bremhill Vicarage." Being Bowles' residence till his death in 1845 the supposition that this might be from his library seems reasonable. Red Morocco label lettered in gilt. Cloth covering lightly worn with split just starting at head of spine's junction with rear board.
