A propos de cet article

Alfred A. Knopf, 1977. Softcover (Spiral Bound). Very Good. Dust Tom Cervenak (illustrator). 4th printing, August 1977 stated: A4 (300 x 210mm approx.). Heavy grean glossy cardstock covers, glossy show some rubbing and a little staining at bottom edge of front cover. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting, save an erasure of an apparent pencilled price on half title. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. No foxing in this copy. 111 pp Cyra McFadden, then a Mill Valley resident, wrote The Serial in 52 weekly installments (1975-76) for the Pacific Sun, a Marin County weekly which is reportedly the oldest continually published weekly in US. McFadden continued writing in including a biweekly column for the San Francisco Examiner for six years, in the 1980s. Her 1986 meoir entitled Rain or Shine: A Family Memoir described her childhood growing up as the daughter of James C. "Cy" Taillon, a well-known rodeo announcer. The book was a finalist for the Pulitzer that year.…
