Rundle praises the Georgia Trustees and extolls the virtues of the colony: ".No settlement was ever before established on so humane a plan. Slavery is absolutely proscribed from this Colony; the misfortune, if not the dishonour of other plantations. Let avarice defend it as it will, there is an honest reluctance in humanity against buying and selling, and regarding those of our own species as our wealth and our possessions." (p. 13) Bell R429.
