Simon Rattle | The Making of a Conductor

Kenyon, Nicholas [Simon Rattle] Natasha Spender, Lady Spender (née Litvin; 18 April 1919 21 October 2010) was an English pianist and author. She was the second wife of the writer Sir Stephen Spender. Sir Stephen Harold Spender CBE (28 February 1909 - 16 July 1995) was an English poet, novelist and essayist whose work concentrated on themes of social injustice and the class struggle.

From the private library of Stephen and Natasha Spender (née Litvin) with a copy of their John Croxton bookplate (plate 36) which was designed as a belated tribute following their wedding in the spring of 1941, Natasha who became the second Mrs Spencer, was a concert pianist.
