A propos de cet article

This is a small format (6" x 4") Christmas card made up a single sheet, folded twice. This is the 1946 Christmas card / December issue of the Stefantasy fanzine. This item is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the pamphlet have some beginning bumping and rubbing. There is a horizontal crease to the center of the pamphlet(as if was folded to put into a pocket). THe white portions of the pamphlet have some light generalized toning. The interior pages are clean and bright. The rear bottom corner has a small inscription which states: From V. A. P. A / once belonged to good old Bill BW. "Stefantasy began as an apazine by Bill Danner from the Skreughball Press. Harry Warner described it as one of the best of the few printed fanzines of the 1950s. It ran until the late 1990s. Danner did all of the typesetting (hand-set) and letterpress printing himself. It started in VAPA, moved to FAPA for more than a decade, and then turned into an independent genzine. " (from Fancyclopedia 3) and "/William McCoy Danner, a Pennsylvania fan and fanzine editor, published A Dangerous Thing for VAPA in the 1940s. From the 1950s until just before his death, he published Stefantasy, a letterpress printed zine, setting the type by hand. He pubbed through Skreughball Press, his publishing house and letterpress. He created the FATE Tape for FAPA in 1955. Danner was known for his strong views on printing he was described as a "puristical user" of real, lead-type, letterpress repro. He was a member of NAPA. He wrote a few short stories, beginning with an Astounding appearance in 1942." (by Fancyclopedia3).…
