Anthropological Quarterly Volume 39, Number 1 complete issue. First edition. Anthropological Quarterly, also known as AQ, is a peer-reviewed journal published by the George Washington University Institute for Ethnographic Research. AQ was founded in 1921 by the Catholic University of America and was published from 1921 to 1953 under the name Primitive Man. While continuing to publish outstanding, original, data-driven articles that advance ethnography and anthropological theory, AQ also asks intellectuals to contribute to on-going public debates relevant to contemporary experiences and public debates. Topics include: war, racism, poverty, nationalism, globalization, human rights, and the social, legal, and ethical implications of new genetic technologies. Essays on such timely topics are published in our "Social Thought and Commentary" section. Condition: Old lettering and number to front wrappers, toning to edges, light edge wear else very good. Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. 1st Edition. 1321-1347 pages with cited references. Quarto (11" x 8 1/2") bound in original publisher's wrappers. Volume 66 Number 6, Part 1 complete issue. First edition. The field work on which this paper is based was supported, for the writer, by the Pan American Union, Department of Social Affairs, and, for his two colleagues and certain special costs, by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos Pedagógicos of Brazil. The work would have been impossible without the support of Dr. Anisio Teixeira of INEP and the Social Affairs Department, PAU; without the collaboration of my two coworkers, Prof. Carolina Martuscelli Bori, Chairman, Department of Psychology, Universidade de Brasilia, Brasilia, and Miss Nilce Mejias of the Faculdade de Filosofia, Rio Claro (São Paulo); and without the indispensable aid and co-operation of persons in the several cities we visited. This paper is revised from a version read before the Anthropological Society of Washington (D.C.), October 16, 1962. Condition: Edge wear with gently bumped corners, spine sunned else very good.
