(4) ff. y compris le titre frontispice , x pp., (2) f., 324 pp., 19 planches hors texte (détachées)et une planche d'écriture (C) d'après J.-B. Hilaire, C.-N. Cochin, Moreau le jeune, etc.,Les planches 13, 19 et 36 du premier volume ayant été imprimées tardivement, et donc livrées après la publication du volume, ne sont pas présentes dans le présent exemplaire qui fut relié dès la fin de l impression du volume. « Les planches 13, 19 et 36 du tome premier n ayant été livrées qu après le volume, manquent […]. » (Brunet). Tome premier seul (sur les 3, dont le dernier paraîtra en 1820 ) Le Tableau général de l empire Othoman est une uvre d'une très grande précision concernant la législation et la religion dans l'Empire ottoman. Il est considéré comme la « meilleure description que l on ait eue de l Empire ottoman puisqu elle est faite par une personne du pays même… Ce premier volume ne renferme que la partie de la religion, les mosquées, les tombeaux, les dogmes, les prières, les cérémonies » (Journal des Savants, mai 1788, p.318).
